The Carbon County Community Foundation (CCCF) began in 2015 as an effort to enhance the lives of the residents of Carbon County. Its primary aim is to show support to nonprofit organizations who serve local causes. The foundation works with donors, provides grants, and finds the best ways to guide the Carbon County community to a better future.
The CCCF addresses many aspects of the local community including art and culture, societal and economic development, education, scholarships, health, environment, history, social services, and youth issues. The foundation’s goal is to provide the resources for a better quality of life for Carbon County members.
Ohl’s Involvement With The Carbon County Community Foundation
On April 11th, Amber Breiner, from the Carbon County Community Foundation, gave a presentation about the foundation. She asked Steve Ohl to talk for a couple of minutes about why R.F. Ohl decided to be a founding member of the foundation:
“By becoming a founding member of the CCCF, R.F. Ohl will help future generations of those who live in Carbon County. The CCCF supports local community projects and provides grants to non-profits. For this reason, R.F. Ohl believes in the importance of being a part of the CCCF. The strengthening of community is one of R.F. Ohl’s core principles.
Also, the funds that are held by the CCCF will generate interest income. This interest allows the fund to remain in place forever, implying that the CCCF and R.F. Ohl will always be part of something that works towards the greater good for the residents of Carbon County.
R.F. Ohl is proud to be a part of such a community-building endeavor. Because of the funding from the other CCCF founding members, the CCCF can show an overwhelming amount of community support. Although R.F. Ohl is actively involved with the local community, the support from the CCCF’s founding members, as a collective, is something that any individual company, like R.F. Ohl, would never be able to do. The combination of all the CCCF founding members will mean a lot to many local community organizations and projects.”

Conclusion
Since R.F. Ohl’s beginning in 1984, Ohl has participated in various community projects and funding efforts. As a local, family-owned company in Carbon County, creating a local awareness towards community growth is a priority and one of the core business principles for Ohl.
Being a founding member of the CCCF is yet another example of how Ohl lives up to its values. R.F. Ohl provides high-quality home comfort services throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. Their services include HVAC, plumbing, and fuel delivery. As a company that uses a solid ethical foundation to guide their business, Ohl believes in offering their customers superior services for honest and transparent prices.
